Pawfect Pet Sitter is a premium, team-based pet sitting and dog walking company trusted by families across the North Phoenix Valley. Our clients count on us to show up, communicate well, and provide consistent, reliable care for their fur babies every single time.

We are growing our Pet Care Team and hiring a dependable, confident, and professional dog walker and pet sitter to join us.

What You Will Do

Provide daily check-ins, dog walks, and pet sitting visits in clients’ homes
Care for pups of all sizes, kitties, and other household pets following detailed care instructions
Send visit summaries with photos and notes to clients after every visit
Communicate quickly and clearly with the office team and your assigned clients
Use scheduling apps, visit tracking tools, and your smartphone for all communication and logging
Represent Pawfect Pet Sitter professionally in every client’s home
Complete shadow training with an experienced team member before going solo
Earn Pet CPR Certification within your first 3 months (provided by us)

Availability Required

You must be available for at least 2 of the following 3 daily time blocks:

Morning Block

7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Midday Block

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Evening Block

4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

You must also be willing to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Our fur babies need care every day, and our clients depend on us to be there when it matters most. This is not a Monday-through-Friday convenience job.

Requirements

Live within 10 miles of Cave Creek & North Scottsdale or the surrounding service area
Have reliable transportation
Have a smartphone with unlimited data
Be confident handling large dogs, small dogs, and cats
Be comfortable using scheduling apps, texting clients, uploading visit photos, and learning new tools quickly
Be dependable, responsive, and able to work independently in clients’ homes
Pass a background check

Who Does Well in This Role

Retirees, semi-retired professionals, empty nesters, and adults with truly flexible schedules tend to thrive on this team. Recent graduates can be a great fit, but only if your schedule is genuinely open and stable.

The people who do well here are calm, capable, local, quick to respond, and available when pet care actually happens. They like structure, independence, and knowing exactly what is expected. They do not need to be chased.

You have limited daytime availability or cannot work weekends and holidays

You are uncomfortable with large dogs or phone-based systems
You are trying to squeeze pet care around an already packed schedule

Brutus, a rescue mutt, is anxious /fearful around strangers. While you are walking Brutus, a stranger ignores their polite request to not pet the dog. They give you lip service on how all dogs love them and reach out and in a split second Brutus bites their hand drawing blood.

What do you do?

What would your sequence of events be?**

The dog you are walking keeps sitting down on their way home. You have 15 minutes to get home before the service ends or you will be late to the rest of your scheduled visits if the dog doesn't start walking asap.

What would you do to assist the dog in this situation?*

You work Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and would love to enjoy some much needed Netflix time. One of your fellow employees has significant car troubles and cannot complete their walk/pet visit schedule that afternoon.
